About the Artist
Thank you for visiting my website...
I grew up in the immersive art environment of a Waldorf school, but only discovered my love of photography as an adult. Through the lens of my camera, I have been happily pursuing the world around me ever since!
I am drawn to disparate, seemingly contradictory, imagery...from the grit and imperfection that lend character to urban surfaces, to the pure beauty and glorious patterns found in nature. I find endless enjoyment in capturing images that tell the story of a moment or that reveal a sense of place.
My photography has been shown at the SMFA in Boston, The Delaplaine Art Center and the Mary Condon Hodgson Art Gallery in Frederick, MD. I have worked as a freelance portrait photographer and enjoy participating in local artist markets. I currently live with my ceramicist husband and our two daughters outside of Washington, DC in historic Frederick, Maryland, where I also teach at a Montessori school.
